I apologize to the nice folks in Tatertown, but I've never visited. When I realized I might be passing through on an upcoming trip, I called a local bar with a simple question. Instead of getting an answer, I found myself facing an interrogation. The woman on the other end asked for my first name, last name, and the reason for my call. After that kind of defensiveness, I half-expected her to ask for my blood type or the last four digits of my Social Security number. When I requested her name, she initially refused to provide it. I tried to point out how invasive her questions felt for such a straightforward inquiry, but it seemed she didn't grasp that. Although she eventually answered my question, by that time, I had already lost interest. Gully's, you've turned me off, and I'll be looking for another place to visit while I'm in town.
