What User doesn't like about The Queen's Head Pub:
I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was of poor quality and lacked flavor. My dinner was soaked in a bad sauce and was otherwise tasteless. The bar area was not clean. The only positive aspect was the young waiting staff, who were attentive and friendly. View all feedback.
Disappointing starters my wife ordered shell on Tiger prawns in white wine sauce. The prawns were not shell on and the white wine sauce was not palatable. I ordered broccoli and Stilton soup which had no substance and was very watery. The main meals were good.
First time we’ve eaten here. The food was great as was the service. Some mains were a bit pricy but not too out of line with similar pubs. We will be going back.
Out of all the roast dinners we have tried in the area we like this the best. The only criticism would be it needs more veg on the plate or a side of veg. Really like this pub, great location especially on a sunny day and a really nice pub manager/owner who always makes the effort to chat to customers.
Main meals were very nice, but nearly £10 for a small pudding was excessive.
Great service and great good, going back next week x
