This food truck is low profile while driving by, so I'm glad I looked up restaurants ahead of our stay or I might easily have missed it. It was right by our motel and made a wonderful dinner. The brisket is equal to the best I've ever had, and the black-eyed peas were excellent as well. I made a sandwich with the grilled bread, and it was heavenly! What Chance Kralik doesn't like about No. 9 Smōk•hous:
Worst BBQ food you could buy. The meat is extremely dry which is, im guessing, why the costco bbq sauces are set out to use as much as you want. The bbq sauce is very good but you can buy that anywhere. Also as i was watching my meal being prepped it seemed very unsanitary as i watched a lot of cross contamination between not only raw and cooked meats but veggies on the same cutting board. Let's just say I ordered $60 bucks worth of brisket for lunch. Ribs were also sold out 30 mins after opening. Plus Hood River rocks. Worth a trip.
Waited 15 minutes, rang the bell.......no one ever came.
The best BBQ in Oregon! Can't say enough good things about this place. You gotta try it!
Straight fire!! We tried a little of everything...pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. Sides bbq beans (black eyed peas with Smokey juicy pork), slaw, pickles (amazing), and tried all the sauces. Brisket was insanely delicious! Smokey, moist, fall apart tender and perfect fat to meat ratio. Pulled pork was solid and even better with the Coffee Stout BBQ Sauce. The ribs were also delicious. Really meaty, tender, with some awesome textures (drier tips/ends with fatty deliciousness underneath) cut in chucks perfect for sharing. If I lived in the area...I'd be back regularly! Highly recommend!!!
