Was Mikey H at Anna O'brien's a mag?
Although I have driven by this restaurant many times, I have never actually been inside. It wasn't until a friend of mine invited me to a tribute concert being held there that I finally discovered what this place was all about. View all feedback.
What Tavana K dislikes about Anna O'brien's:
The restaurant experience was quite strange. When I walked in, the young bartender Sierra greeted me by saying, "I thought you were no longer allowed here?" She then proceeded to comment on how slowly I was drinking my beer. It was a unique encounter, to say the least. View all feedback.
I have always had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff is always courteous and attentive to my needs as a customer. I love the weekly music open mics, monthly live band karaoke, and other music events in the Banana Room and back patio area. There are also darts and pool downstairs, with darts available at the bar on two boards and pool costing $1 per game. Guests can bring their own food, but there are often food carts or trucks available on event nights.
Anna O'Briens has been a solace for me during my time at UH Manoa. As I reach the midpoint of my senior year, this place continues to bring me joy and create lasting memories. The atmosphere is fantastic and the live music always provides great entertainment. Reflecting on my time spent here, I can only think of positive experiences. Thank you, Anna O'Briens, for keeping Thursdays lively and enjoyable.
This is a wonderful spot in Honolulu with great music and friendly service. If you're interested in learning how to dance, all you have to do is ask.
I thought they had permanently closed during COVID, but they are back in business!
Yea, so the bar is pretty cool, live music is actually very impressive and met some cool people….. the issue arises with the employees. I tried to buy a Guinness was told it was $9, then she charged me $25 on my bank account. I obviously went to ask about the charge and that’s when the bartenders began shouting in my ear and questioning if I should be kicked out. A lot of aggression for, what it seems, a pretty reasonable question. So yea, I got it figured out, they still tried to charge me $25, if you are a visitor/non-local, DO NOT GO. If you do go, please pay with cash for your own benefit.
