What Luke smith doesn't like about Viceroy:
Was recommended this Indian so called for delivery but no drivers. Had to pick up. Staff inside were super friendly and happy. The restaurant was quiet. Food was ready before schedule. Food was edible. Chicken on the korma was dry. Lamb on Rogan Josh was tough. Naans were wet, cold and sweaty. In fact all food was pretty cold. Food poorly packaged in the bag. Samosas and Saag aloo were lovely. Service: Take out Meal... View all feedback.
We were greeted warmly and received quick, friendly service at Viceroy Tawa. The food was absolutely stunning, with the chilli pickle being a particularly delightful addition. Thanks to the team for a fantastic meal – we will definitely be returning. The dinner cost per person falls between £10-20. We gave a rating of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere. While we somewhat recommend the restaurant for vegetarians, we believe everyone will enjoy their experience here.

The Jalfrezi dish comes highly recommended, and vegetarians will be pleased with the options available on the menu. There is a dedicated vegetarian section with clearly labeled dishes. The restaurant also offers plenty of parking options, including free street parking.

We visited here whilst staying local on a Friday night as a family of 3. I had booked a table after reading reviews but there was no need we booked for 7pm and there was us and 2 other families in there. The man who sat us (older guy) was lovely. However the man who took our orders/served us was awful. We hadn’t been there 2 minutes and he was over asking if he could take our order. We asked for 5 minutes. No joke 60 seconds later he was back at which point I just asked for something I’d usually have as it was clear I wasn’t able to have to time too read the menu. Seconds after he took our order our poppadoms arrived which is fine but I kid you not 2 minutes after been given our poppadoms he came over and asked if he could bring our mains out. I said no can we at least eat these first please too which he just wondered off. He then stood opposite our table and just watching which was so uncomfortable. And the second the last mouthful of poppadoms hit our lips he was at our table with our mains. Can’t fault the food it really was lovely but just weren’t given time too settle in and enjoy a meal out as a family. Seconds after we finished he was at our table again asking if we wanted deserts we said no and asked for the bill. Once he gave us the bill he then started cleaning the table with his spray before we had even got up. Too say we felt unwelcome and rushed is an understatement. £54 for 35 mins we were literally in and out. I recently visited this restaurant to try their food. I ordered a drink and found that it was finished before my meal arrived, indicating that the service could be improved. The onion bhajis could use more spice, but my main dish was flavorful and had a lot of heat from the chilies. The peshwari naan was a bit too sweet for my taste. The restaurant seemed understaffed, so there was a bit of a wait. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4, service a rating of 2, and atmosphere a rating of 4. If you don't mind waiting, it's worth giving it a try.
