Really, 9 euro's for a pint? Jupiler? After protesting they got angry swiftly and insisted I paid the full amount. Only when the police came they were ordered to lower the price by 50%.... Oh and 5.50 for a glass of table whine. Food, well,...acceptabele, nothing more. View all feedback.
We had to fulfill our tourist duty: they dive out at the vieux bassin, the old harbour of honfleur and it turned out to be a real pleasure and quite expensive!
The food is good and local, the menu price is very reasonable, the service is very quick and efficient. We booked a table over the phone and were placed exactly where we wanted (overlooking the basin).
As a family we have visited Honfleur several times and have eaten here before because of its position on the harbour. The food is good and the price is a tad high but look where you are! Wine choice is ok but not great. Service...depends purely on which waiter you get as we had 2/3; 2 were lovely BUT 1 was arrogant and downright rude! This was immediately dealt with, by talking to the owner and the waiter in question, quietly at the bar and telling them exactly what is not acceptable to any customer, anywhere. The issue was accepted and dealt with..... the waiter later personally apologised for his actions and this was graciously accepted and we all moved on. I choose not to tip as I would normally as ALL aspects of a meal are equally important to me/us.
On the advice of the owner, we reserved a table in this establishment. We ate very well. The grilled bar was delicious. the service was very friendly and the view of the port is appreciable. We were afraid of a "super tourist catch" but that is absolutely not the case. A very good time.
We sat on the terrace at 1830. All the tables were covered, but we were asked to leave because the restaurant didn't open until 19:00. At least offer an aperitif or something. Or ask the table to be reserved... So, our aperitific was drinking elsewhere, and at 7:00, we returned. We took the menu of $24. What we got wasn't bad, but for that price, we expected something more refiner. _ The service was rushed into the highest speed so we'd be out by an hour.
