This is a nice little grocery store. The people were very friendly and helpful. I only went in for ice, you have to walk through the store to get to it, but I did browse a little. The prices seemed good and cheap the only thing I noticed was that the red meat didn't look to good. It was very dark and the fatty parts looked brown so I wouldn't have gotten any of the meat and I would check the dates on other products. View all feedback.
What Jason P doesn't like about Eby's General Store:
I went to this small grocery that contains a deli and sandwich shop inside of it. Normally, they make a decent sandwich. Today they said they had no bread to make anything, what so ever, I even asked if they could just use sliced white bread. At first it didn 't sink in, I just walked away and left the store. As I am driving I begin thinking... No bread...it was a grocery store Filled with bread. There was not only b... View all feedback.
It's great having a small local store right down the street for emergencies... but honestly that's really what it's best for. Best for when you forgot something from the other grocery store and want to run out real quick cause you don't feel like driving 20 minutes. They do, at times, have good sales on meat and other items, but all in all their prices are not competitive. Totally understandable since its small and located in a small town away from the major retailers. My biggest complaint is that produce is limited, and as of late, not good. Everything that I've purchased on my last 3 or 4 trips hasn't been good. Looks okay on the outside, but once you dig in you see that they are not. Out of an entire 5 lb bag of potatoes, only 2 didn't weren't brown through the middle. $1.99 per apple, both of which I had to throw away.l cause they too were brown in the middle.

Recently found this friendly store. It's like a full grocery store squished into a more convenience store size. The prices on many things are convenience store prices but they can have some good deals as well, on things like meat. The staff is friendly and it's nice to shop/support at a local business.
Prices are high. Got eggs once they were 9 days out of date. If you want meat don't go here. It's usually very close to sell by date. Ate their hamburger got sick. Not food poisoning .

As I am driving I begin thinking... No bread...it was a grocery store Filled with bread. There was not only bread in the bread isle there was every single variety possible. Buns, rolls, bread and everything. Well this little store with inflated prices, taking advantage of the individuals who don 't have transportation to go somewhere further; can take their lack of bread which by the way just means the person working is lazy, and bake it where the sun doesn 't shine. AVOID!
