I was disappointed when I walked in to see people eating and then were told that they couldn't serve breakfast until 10, I usually will praise the food and the service, but not today. The sign out front says they open at 8:00 and it was closer to 9:00. We happened upon this local gem while meandering through the area. The owners are lovely and the space is charming. The husband (the master chef) serves up salads, mains, lobster rolls and pastries (and perfect baguettes) with equal skill and care…while the wife makes you feel like you’re extended family within your first five minutes. Try the Maine lobster roll, the canard aux poivres, smoked salmon salad with potato latke, literally any laminated pastry, and the pistachio cake.
I ate breakfast today with a good friend. Our breakfast was fabulous. Owners were very kind. When you are in Honesdale, make sure you stop in and say hello to Lynn.

Amazing amazing food! Still one of my favorite places here after over a decade!!! Friendly family staff. Nice atmosphere ?
