Ignacio - Hondarribia

In a street full of pintxo bars, this one stands out for the the quality of the staff. The tapas are pretty standard fair but they do make a clam croquette that is to die for. this is a special order though and not mentioned on the menu but usually only on the specials board. All the usual stuff, beer, wine, pintxo both hot and cold.

We enjoyed the Mahou beer and a variety of pintxos. The waiter who served us was a lovely young man, Mattin, who spoke English far better than my Spanish! It was a very busy place with people queuing up... So my guess is that it is a popular place. The food was tasty the beer was cold and the service was good.

We had a lunch at this restaurant and would rate the food mediocre. None of the wait staff spoke English so it was a bit harder to order.

Buenos pintxos a buen precio. A destacar tortilla patata y los picantes. Las bravas no me llegaron a terminar.

Comida correcta, servicio regular pero bien de precio y ambiente.
