Museum Cafe - HOMOSASSA

This museum and café is the creation of the genius owner Jim Anderson. During our first visit, he prepared our meals, told us his story and we checked the museum of printing machines that he was collected and operated until it was time to eat (he also served our meal). Its Cuban sandwiches are traditional ways to include bread from a Tampa bakery. We also enjoyed black beans and yellow rice and a delicious pastry. Of course he has sweet or unsweetened tea and beer or wine. There is probably no WiFi here, he says he doesn't own a mobile phone. If you are in the area of Homosassa, you should visit Jim and his café/museum. And there is also a historic sugar cane location next door.

The exhibition of vintage printing equipment is truly impressive. It features a stunning array of items, including Linotype machines, letter blocks, letterpresses, and a Heidelberg Windmill, along with dozens of other printing machines and an extensive collection of typewriters. The variety and quality of the machines on display are quite surprising.

One of the best Cuban sandwiches you'll ever try! The Spanish bean soup and the chicken with yellow rice are also absolutely delicious.

The food here is top-notch—definitely try the soups, salads, and Cuban pastries! The owner has made recent changes to honor a historical site that was previously overlooked. Every November, they host a Blues Festival featuring fantastic music. The atmosphere is lively, and the food from the Old Mill Tavern is excellent. You definitely don't want to miss this place!
