Wasabi's Bistro in Homer, Alaska offers a beautiful view and friendly service staff. However, the sushi has left many customers disappointed, with complaints of bland taste and poor quality. Despite the nice atmosphere and great appetizers, understaffing issues have led to significant delays in food service. On the other hand, the Sunday brunch menu received high praise for its delicious food and live jazz music. By far the WORST SERVICE and EXPERIENCE I have ever had in the food industry.
This place was recommended by a person we met on our trip to Seldovia We came our last night in Homer.
The staff, Brian and Dawn were wonderful. The curry Thai rockfish was very good as was the scallop mac and cheese. The potstickers were an interesting surprise with a little pesto! We hope to go back and try other dishes!
Ordered the Black Cod for an entree, flavor was under seasoned and it was full of bones in every bite. Sushi tasted odd and was underwhelming. The pot stickers lacked flavor in the filling. Enjoyed the curry sauce that the shrimp, mussels and clams camein.
