What Corey Foreman doesn't like about Captain Pattie's Fish House:
Drove 2 hours to get fresh halibut, ordered the deep fried halibut, food came out barely warm, halibut breading was very soggy, fries were pretty basic. My wife ordered the halibut tacos, which were actually halibut burritos, the tortillas tasted microwaved.. place was nice, costumer service was nice, but felt ripped off considering each plate was 20 bucks. Wouldn't go back View all feedback.
Delicious food! I had the fried halibut along with a house salad, and both were excellent. The view was fantastic as well. I love that they offer to cook your catch, so I'll definitely return after my halibut charter!

The service is attentive, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The rustic and charming atmosphere enhances the overall appeal, giving you a taste of coastal Alaska. Don't miss this culinary treasure; it's a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts. Exceptional, delicious, and definitely worth the wait!
I’m really glad the food was delicious, as the prices were quite steep. It might be a good idea to check the menu online beforehand; perhaps it’s just something we need to adjust to in Alaska. The dishes we ordered were the seafood sampler and breaded halibut. The portions were generous, so we ended up with leftovers.
I drove two hours to try the fresh halibut, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered the deep-fried halibut, and when it arrived, it was barely warm. The breading was quite soggy, and the fries were just mediocre. My wife opted for the halibut tacos, but they ended up being burritos instead, and the tortillas seemed like they had been microwaved. While the restaurant itself was nice and the customer service was friendly, I couldn’t help but feel let down, especially considering each dish was priced at $20. I don’t think I will return.
The food was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you very much!
