The fish fry here is excellent—simply amazing! It's not greasy or overly deep-fried. Just a heads up, they only accept cash, but there are plenty of shops nearby in Alaska. View all feedback.
What Adam D doesn't like about Ak Fish Fryers:
I'm not typically a fan of frying good fish, but we were recommended this place by our charter, so we decided to give it a try. COVID update they are open! Cash ONLY plan on AT LEAST 20 bucks. Delicious fish. A very light panko style batter with good, but not overpowering...
Best fish and chips hands down. Must have been caught the same day. So fresh. Not your typical greasy deep fried halibut. Perfect crust. Hidden gem but if you can find it you must stop. I would have posted a picture but it was inhaled a bit quickly.
We were in Homer for two weeks visiting family and sightseeing. We had some delicious food while there but, after reading reviews, decided to hunt down AK Fish Fryers. It was so worth the search. Their halibut is out of this world--best in the town, I'm convinced. The food was handed to us just out of the fryer, piping hot and was so scrumptious, I just had to write this review. Heads up--it's take-out and cash only at Fish Fryers.
