View all feedback.

We stopped at this restaurant because the one of our choice was full. This was neither French nor food. I had the worst lunch I've ever had in France or Germany. I started to have misapprehension on the walk to the place. The building is purple and the front entrance is boarded up. We entered in the back which faced the water. This could have been a main feature for the restaurant with a wall of windows. Unfortunately not. I ordered a glass of white wine which was probably water and wine and was served in the wrong glass. So I ordered a bottle of wine. It came to the table open and the label peeling off. I believe it was the same junk offered earlier just poured into a bigger bottle. My husband had a set dinner. The steak came with snails and pate de foie gras. The steak was served with parsley butter. The snails were dry and tough. The appetizers looked like what we buy at Cora, boxed and ready to serve. My dinner was to come with vegetables and a choice of starch and a salad if desired. I was not offered a choice of starch so was served rice, plain nasty white rice and no veg. The salad, for two fifty extra was eisberg with bottled dressing and came with dinner. The trout was not trout and was deep fried in a crust. It was disgusting. I could have gotten the same in a pub in Germany and gotten better bier and wine. Did I mention the food was disgusting so was the server. I don't know what language he was trying to speak to us, perhaps German which neither of us speak. He definitely did not speak French. Maybe once this restaurant was better but under current management/conditions it is better avoided.
