There is not much open to eat after 8 pm in Holyoke. The restaurant is clean, prices are high (typical for Holyoke), portion sizes are good. Be prepared for the dining room to close early and for them to request payment over the phone for carryout before you can order. View all feedback.
The portion sizes are generous. A single dinner can easily serve two people, or you'll have enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
The staff member who attended to us, from seating us to taking our order and processing the bill, was quite unfriendly. This is my second visit, and during this trip, he mentioned upon greeting us that if we didn’t intend to leave a tip, we should request our food to-go since it’s a lot of effort to wait on a table without receiving gratuity. I don't believe that's a very appropriate way to welcome customers.
We dined at First Dragon today for the first time in a while. The last experience wasn't great, so we decided to give it another shot. When we arrived for lunch, it was almost painfully quiet. I ordered the egg drop soup, but both the smell and taste were terrible! Next, I tried the Beef and Broccoli with fried rice. Unfortunately, the beef didn't taste like real beef and was tough to chew, while the fried rice smelled and tasted off. And don't even get me started on the wonton—it was just as disappointing.
