This place gets rave reviews, so I was hoping for a better experience. It's lovely. The setting is gorgeous. The presentation of the building and food is amazing. The food and service, not so much. We had a few hours to burn before our ferry at nearby Holyhead so we found the White Eagle and popped in for dinner. This a cozy little inn nestled in a small village. The bar and restaurant were very nicely decorated and the staff was very welcoming. They sat us in a side room off one of the bars near a fire place.
