There were 12 in the party, service was slow but no one minded, food was good. Restaurant was busy so staff were stretched, they coped well but waiting time was extended. Problem contacting this venue, they didn't reply to emails and didn't answer the phone, this must loose them business. Disappointed. Was expecting a decent sized piece of flaky cod enclosed in a crisp batter not a lank flat piece of processed mush. The ‘ragged’ pudding and sliceable gravy was equally disappointing. Sad to give this review as have enjoyed in the past. View all feedback.
I was disappointed with the service, and the food did not meet my expectations, especially considering the high prices.
The service was very disappointing. The food wasn't served hot enough. I'm not sure I would want to visit when the restaurant is busy.
My husband's extra-large fish and my grandson's fish nuggets were tender and delicious. Unfortunately, my regular-sized cod was overcooked and too burnt to chew, so I was left with just the chips. It was quite disappointing, especially since we drove 45 minutes to get there.

Compos used to be amazing however we were disappointed with the quality of the food the cleanliness of the place.
