We really enjoyed an overnight stop at The Vicarage on our way to the Lakes. Room was really well appointed, much more interesting decor than a sterile Travelodge room whilst still being clean. Don't normally leave a review but felt we had to just because of the breakfast being so poor and inedible. Hotel ok, basic but functional, staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast however was probably the worst we've ever had. Obviously been cooked a while, couldn't even cut the bacon nevermind eat it. Sausage was the other way, raw.
