Moma D's Kountry Kitchen - Hollywood

Drove to Newport Beach last week to get out of the heat in the IE. I've been wanting to go to Mama D's for a long time after hearing excellent reviews from family. It did not disappoint. We got there close to 4:00 when they opened and were able to get a table right away. I can't say enough how friendly everyone is that works there. They go out of their way to make your experience fabulous. The food is outstanding from the pre dinner bread they serve to their selection of Italian dishes. You can pretty much customize anything you get. I would highly recommend their pink sauce. I can't wait to go back!

I'm so thankful for the brother-I-never-had for bringing my cousins and I here on our Orange County tour because we are not avid fans of Italian food but we left so STUFFED I never knew Mama D's was a popular restaurant around Newport Beach and I always saw lines whenever I drove by but now I understand why. We've eaten here several times and always love the food and service!!! Last night we had Daniella again as our server and we just adore here!!!!!! She's amazing and always makes our visit fun The pink sauce is our family's fav!!!

4.5 stars for really good food in a really friendly environment with attentive and knowledgeable staff! The pasta was great, the pizza was great and the bread was good too! We waited about 40 minutes (we didn't have a reservation at about 6:15pm) and I felt like the maitre'd was so mindful of us. Even during COVID, this place was on top of their game.

My last night in OC and this is where we came for dinner. The line up outside was insane that we didn't think we were going to get seated before they closed but we did! We were probably the last round of individuals that got in prior to the restaurant closing. We shared the mushrooms and mozzarella sticks which were so delicious but heavy if you are ordering a pasta for dinner too I would recommend one of the two if you are a smaller party (less than 3 . Originally I was going to order the Papa D's Shrimp Scampi but when I saw that the ravioli was homemade I legit couldn't pass up on it. I got the Chicken and Ricotta with the rose sauce (I was told this is what they are known for. The dish was delicious the chicken was shredded and easy to eat and the cheese melted in perfectly the only thing I would have added is some more sauce as it got dry after a while. all in all a great taste of Italy!
