This place is very welcoming and comfortable! Not to mention the food is filling and good price! I was sincerely very pleasantly surprised when we got a small tray of hush puppies to begin! All were very friendly and our waitress Dee was even more so that our short stay was very pleasant!

We just want to say we had the best dinner last night at Surf City BBQ. Our waitress, Dee, was the most attentive, informative and nicest person we've ever expected. The food was absolutely excellent and so delicious. The iced tea was the best we ever had outside. If we could give 10 stars, we wouldn't hesitate. My husband and I had the most amazing experience in the Surf City Barbeque today! Our server, Steven, was very polite and respectful. We were immediately served delicious hot homemade Hush puppies. After our order, Steven brought out our sharp shrimps and flounder in less than ten minutes???? Was it delicious?????? It is difficult for most companies to keep employees today, so with a server that shows so much respect and courtesy for their guests is an additional bonus????? Steven, there is no doubt that your parents raised you well!! Thank you for being so attentive and polite! We are very appreciated by your excellent service??? Also I can't subjugate this without mentioning the owners, Guy and Rebecca Royal. This couple is a great Christian couple??? They show so much respect to their employees and guests. As inflation continues to rise, I could not help, but their menu prices have not increased. I am sure they are trying very hard to lower their prices and keep affordable! We need to promote this business as much as possible as their God feared owners work as intensively trying to keep a pleasantly affordable restaurant experience, excellent service and their food always tasty for us all.

THE BEST place to eat in Topsail. Arguably one of the best places to eat in North Carolina in my opinion. For the price, food, and experience, the value that Surf City BBQ provides to you and your family is indefinite. If Google would let me rate one hundred thousand stars, I would. The moment you step through their doors, you are greeted with a warm smile and open arms by some of the most loving, Godly, southern hospitality-providing women in town. After they guide you to your table, you are provided a hearty basket of some warm, tender hushpuppies. Not only are they free, they are DANG GOOD. As you are blessing your stomach with the complimentary, heavenly hushpuppies, you can browse Surf City BBQ's menu that is complete with everything you could ever imagine from brunswick stew to shrimp po-boys. We went with the brunswick stew, BBQ sandwich, fried okra, potato salad, barbecue chicken wings, and loaded potato skins. If our stomachs would allow it, we would order the entire menu. Our meal came out to a very economic price, especially in today's day and age of menu prices. Inflation is rising, but Surf City BBQ's prices sure aren't.
