The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly! The food is consistently delicious, and the drinks are great as well. It's an excellent spot for a family dinner or to kick off a game night while sitting at the bar. I highly recommend it! Be sure to try the meat drink! View all feedback.

Very disappointed. Third time we tried but same results. Menu, as told by our server, hasn 't been updated online for 2 years, so when nothing I wanted was on the actual menu, that sucked. Food was ok but server didn 't know the specials and after he went and checked what they were, he rambled through them and we had no idea what he even said. I was charged for refills on sodas which was pretty shady but when I said... View all feedback.
Meal Type: Lunch Price Range: $10–20 Food: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★★★ I highly recommend trying the cheesesteak; it's a standout dish that you won’t want to miss! Everything about my dining experience was exceptional. The food was top-notch, the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere made for a pleasant lunch outing. Overall, a perfect spot for a satisfying meal!
Our waitress, Vicky, was fantastic, and the food was delicious! We dined in for dinner, and our meal cost around $20–30 per person. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.

Went to Jonny Apples first time in years. I was very disappointed. My husband and I sat at the bar. The bartender was unfamiliar with how to make a common drink. Which I thought was odd, but no big deal. I switched my drink. A waitress came and shared the specials with us. I went with the porterhouse steak with mushrooms. Which was one of the specials. No salad was offered. It came with your choice of potato and veggie. Although they only offered one choice of veggie. broccoli and cauliflower medley) Vegetable's were cold and did not taste fresh. Had the choice of au gratin potatoes or mashed. Decided on mashed and they were uneatable. The steak was cooked to my liking,, however the meat was grisly. My husband decided on the Salmon stuffed with crabmeat witch was mediocre. He also did not like the mashed potatoes We eat out often at fine dining establishments. This was far from that. What was most disappointing was the price. Giving the quality of food. Sixty six dollars for just the steak dinner was not acceptable. Had it been a better quality piece of meat, without all the grisel and had they had offered better options of potatoes and vegetables that were fresh, we would have had no issue with the bill. As far as the ambiance it was a large bar and a little loud. But is fine considering we chose to eat at the bar. Unfortunately it was not worth the money and we will not be returning.
I have driven past Johnny apples for literally decades and never dined there until about a year ago. It is very good. In particular I like the beef horseradish sandwich in fococia bread. I don 't know why, but I tried the cheesesteak once. Let me save you some time: don 't. It 's not a cheesesteak. It 's a Philly But other than that one mistake, my food has been good. My full blood Irish father in law gave the stamp of approval on the pot pie. My half blood Irish wife has only ever had good things to say about her meals. The place always seems dead when we go, which is in stark contrast to how I remember seeing it 20 years ago when driving by on buck Rd. Back then it was always slammed. Now, it 's looking pretty run down inside, with water stained walls and ceiling, cracked drywall, and just general wear and aging. It 's unfortunate, because the food is still very good. I don 't really understand what happened. Parking: If the main lot is full, there 's a lower lot on the other side of the restaurant (need to access from buck Rd). If the lower lot is full, you can park across the street at Munz Construction (this is direction we received from the restaurant)
