What Heather Pecoraro dislikes about Sweets N Java:
Still on the fence. Wanted to love this place. It's so super cute. The first time I went, I asked the attendant if they had Golden Milk. She looked at me like I had three heads. I said, no problem. I'll take a regular coffee. The second time I went with my boyfriend, we walked in, 5 people behind the counter, one person being waited on. No hello, good morning, nada. We waited 5 minutes, turned and left. Went to Dunki... View all feedback.

Big city quality with small town charm! I just moved here and was surprised not only by the quality of the food but the welcoming kindness of the staff too. I love the artist mugs, chill vibe, mocha lattes, and their unique pastries and food. The first time I went I had the most delicious breakfast sandwich that was freshly made. This last time, I got the Davis Hill sandwich made with Turkey, Gouda, and onion jam delicious! Strongly recommend the mocha latte!

This coffee shop in the heart of Holden, MA is a true gem! Forget about the big box corporate coffee players like dunks and Starbucks...if you're in the area, this place is worth the visit. Every coffee I've had is prepared with exquisite attention to detail friendly, personable service. With a wide array of sweets and sandwiches that are always changing and have a homemade touch, as well as their extensive coffee menu..you won't be disappointed!! Thanks for standing out and staying around in
$6.90 after tax for a microwaved egg and cheese on a croissant (no meat! . By far the worst egg I’ve ever had on a breakfast sandwich. It was the texture of jello and completely unseasoned. Even McDonald’s doesn’t microwave their eggs.
Nestled in the heart of Holden, this locally owned coffee shop pairs big‑city quality with small‑town charm. An extensive coffee menu (the mocha latte is a favorite) complements rotating homemade pastries, artistic mugs, and notable sandwiches like the turkey‑Gouda Davis Hill. Guests enjoy a relaxed, artsy atmosphere and often warm, speedy service, though experiences can vary—some report inattentive staff and uneven breakfast prep. Despite occasional inconsistency, it remains a beloved neighborhood spot worth visiting.

On my most recent visit, I tried the Davis Hill sandwich with turkey, gouda, and fig jam - it was delicious! I highly recommend the mocha latte as well.
