Just a well known name living off and outdated reputation. Scalloped potatoes came out all but icebox cold. For the first time ever my wife and I both HAD to cut the pork steak with a knife. It tasted like it was cooked in an oven. Thiswas not bbq. After waiting 45 minutes what a letdown. Even the toast was burnt. We live within just a few minutes of this placeand ate here many many times over the years. I'm not sure what has changed so badly in this place in recent years. But it isn'tthe same place anymore.

The first time we went, the food was okay and everything, but I noticed a couple of hairs on my plate. Thank goodness I had already finished eating. I know that stuff canhappen anywhere, but when it happens to me, it ruins me on a place. I wasn 't planning on going back after that, but my wifewanted to try it one more time, so I said what the heck. The second time we went, we were the only ones in there and we hadordered our food when a group of four had come in and set not too far from us. They had never been there before and asked thewaitress what was good there. She said you 're asking the wrong person, because none of it 's good to me. I 've been here 20 yearsand I don 't like any of it . Those were her exact words, blew us away. Between the hairs in my food, and what I would consider arude service and atmosphere, it 's not a place that I have to go back for a third time. I guess if you don 't mind hairs in yourfood or rude service, then yeah go for it. I mean people can think whatever they want, but this is not the type of place thatwould be worthy of driving for. ???????????

We will def... read more We stumbled upon this hidden gold mine. We ordered the pork steak dinner and a pulled pork dinner. It was so amazing we even got some dinners to go. We will definitely be back again and again. We live in Sikeston was just driving checking out the 100mile yard sale Saturday and got hungry. I highly recommend this place. I have always bought the Strawberry's rub for years andnever knew it was made in Holcomb, MO. Our waitress was super nice and we never had a dry glass.

My husband like... read more It was hard not to just let ourselves inhale the pork steak! It was that good. The pork easily fell apart with a fork and had an excellent bite. My husband liked the sweet sauce and thought it had molasses in it. I mixed the tangy mild sauce with thesweet for a savory flavor. The sides were okay. It was a different BBQ experience since we have never had two-inch thick porksteak before. It was a treat!
