Bistro is more like an RSL than a pub but the food is definately classic pub plus. . Then, if you feel like venturing away from classic then there is plenty gourmet selection. The wine list offers good regional variety. Great for family or for a good meal out.

The food is paired with a carefully selected range of local wines at surprisingly reasonable prices. We particularly enjoyed the Kosiosko Chardonnay, which complemented our Lamb Kofta perfectly. While we waited for our meals, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary bar snacks, which would typically be charged as starters elsewhere. The owners are doing something exceptional here and have set a new standard for casual dining that other establishments will struggle to match. I only wish the restaurants in the Byron Bay area where we live could reach this level of quality. Service: 5 Location: 5

Seems he did n... read more So I am at the Holbrook Hotel as write... Callum (he was named by his own peers) took my order about 5.50pm... Mind you... not the friendly kind. Seems he did not want to be bothered. it is now 7.11pm... I enquired about 7pm. Luckily this beautiful lady and attentive lady (megan) came to my rescue...she apologised offered me a beer and organised my meal pronto. Someone should have a talk to Callum. He is ruining for the likes of Megan the other great staff. Btw, my complements on the steak, perfect, yummy! Ps. I 'll be back to look for megan and the same aged steak 7.32pm... man that steak is so good... I do recommend the venue and the food.. and megan and the others
