The nature park Sächsische Schweiz with its famous rock formations, the rivers, the castles and the good and favorable possibilities of return have been particularly helpful to me. This time, my choice fell to the Hocksteinschänke in Hohnstein. The restaurant is situated in a wonderful isolated location in Rathewalde, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The decor is in wooden block planks, original in Alpine style with a lot of bright wood and cow fur. Previously, I was told that there was a postal carriage station for the travellers on the way to Dresden First mention Anno 1797 Today, in addition to the cozy guest room, a beer garden and a children's playground are invited to stay. Here you will find tasty home cooking, civic food,fish, vasper dishes, regional specialties, ice cups, coffee and cakes, salads, soups, and also for our small fellow citizens there is of course a separate menu.
