This place is a hidden gem. It appears that the building used to be an older retail shop before being converted into a restaurant. Located at a corner in a quaint country town, it offers a warm and friendly service that reflects its small-town charm. Everything about our visit was excellent—the service, the ambiance, and the food. We ordered ribeye steaks, and both were cooked to perfection. It's refreshing to find a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Junkyard Dog Steakhouse:
That was my first visit, even though my friend was there before. We ordered onion rings, Cajun Pasta and a steak sandwich. The service and attention we received were great. My steak sandwich was good. The Cajun Pasta was my favorite dish at previous visits, but tonight she returned the court. The Cajun Pasta came with steak bits that lubricated like leather and the pasta was pasty. The onion rings were too well shape... View all feedback.
Not much of menu just saying didn’t ask Me if I wanted any dripping sauce for my chicken strips not crazy about coming back here
This restaurant offers the best food around! Everything is incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is a bit noisy for my taste, but it might be just what others expect. The eclectic decor is quite unique and reflects the local vibe nicely.
I visited this restaurant to check out the menu and see what they had to offer. Unfortunately, I felt really uncomfortable because the staff – I couldn't tell if they were servers or the owners – just stared at us in a rude and unfriendly manner. We ended up leaving. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, especially for newcomers to the area, as it seemed like they don't welcome new customers. We had heard good things about the restaurant and were excited to explore options for our large family. We'll be looking elsewhere in Columbia or Spring Hill instead, as we won't be trying this place again.
Left home and took a little road trip on the beautiful Natchez Trace. Stopped in Hohenwald at the Junkyard Dog. So worth it. I got grilled shrimp with baked potato and rice. Wanted dessert but we were too full. Shrimp was grilled perfectly, baked potato with sour cream and lots of butter but the rice, for me, there could have been more. Hahaha Husband got the chicken fried steak with brown gravy and fries. Gravy was tasty while the chicken fried steak was very good. Service was friendly. We would recommend this restaurant and we will be back.
Love having this place close by. Wide variety of food and everything I've had has been spot on. My only complaint is it can get pretty loud sometimes when they are really busy. Between the music playing, all the people, and screaming babies, it's hard to have a conversation.
