we traveled on the south coast and this restaurant had the best lamb chops I ever had. I have tried to find something close to Central America where I live and nothing comes close. Unfortunately, they have ruined for me forever, unless I can return here and have them again! View all feedback.
What Angela Deveneau doesn't like about Kaffi Hornid:
We arrived with only a couple tables being served however we didn't get waited on even for drinks for 20 minutes, in the mean time the bigger dining room was filling up and customers had drinks, their food and was leaving before we got our food. Even tried talking to a manager. Service: 1 View all feedback.
Had dinner here and the only vegan option available was the vegan sandwich. the menu was very basic in design and selection, so I suspect that it was a temporary smaller menu based on covid, especially considering that some nearby restaurants were completely closed. vegan sandwich consisted of a few falafel pucks and a bundle of veggies, namely mushrooms. there could have been some falafeler used, but there was a decent amount of mushrooms to make for it, and the total proportion size was quite large by Icelandic standards. the brot was in the middle of the great amount of mayo something soggy, so maybe after light on the mayo. good, but overall, and the Omni company I had with me also enjoyed their meal.
We tried the vegan sandwich and it was delicious. many vegan mayo.
Great service, delicious food, but very expensive. only a few vegeratic options, all very tasty but recommend, but note the high price.
Our experience here was one of the best in Iceland. The food quality and value for the price were fantastic. We especially appreciate the delicious and fresh salad (hard to come here); and the lobster and pulled pork pizzas, fish chips (tenders, flaky), and the lamb hacking meals were all wonderful. Shares were significant. Would definitely return when in the area.
We drove all the way from Skaftafell to lunch here, as it was one of the few places that had some local food and it was totally worth it. We had the Hummertempura, the reindeer castle, the fish and chips and the little ones. Everything was amazing! Large portions and beautiful presentation, all cost homemade. The prices were also good as we only paid £10k for everything. Compared to 2 fish and chips and 2 drinks in Reykjavik: £41). If you close, it won't be disappointed!
