One of my all time favs in Hoboken. Nothing fancy but always packed so you know the food is good. Servers are always on point and food quality never suffers no matter how busy they get. Small space but they have outside tables and definitely worth the wait for seating. View all feedback.
What Carlos S doesn't like about La Isla Downtown:
Dry Medianoche, no flavor. Chicken soup made using straight bouillon cubes w barely any chicken, zero flavor, just huge chunks of corn that you cant eat because its still on the core. Not to mention they of course forgot utensils that I asked for since im staying in a hotel. Absolute trash. View all feedback.
We came here because of a Reddit recommendation and were not disappointed! We had the huevos rancheros and the Cuban sandwich, and they were both delicious. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
Great place for an early dinner (no alcohol): relaxed, great tasting and with a lot of smiles! Make sure to try the Pollo al Ajillo con Espinaco, it’s heavenly! I had Yuca fries and rice with beans as sides and they were also very tasty!
One of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered ropa vieja with yuca and plantains, and everything was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Thanks to the kitchen wait staff for a great lunch!
Always a fantastic meal and byob too . Another great meal, We’re back again 2/18/23 7/3/24 We’re back again and again. Just fantastic food tonight. Thank you
We came here and it was a wonderful experience! They have limited indoor seating and we wanted to be inside due to the rain. We were sat at the bar and I loved the cozy ambience from the decor to the “bartender.” Their coffee is great!! And food was amazing at a great price for a Hoboken restaurant. Definitely recommend for authentic Cuban food :
