One of my all time favs in Hoboken. Nothing fancy but always packed so you know the food is good. Servers are always on point and food quality never suffers no matter how busy they get. Small space but they have outside tables and definitely worth the wait for seating.

Great place for an early dinner (no alcohol): relaxed, great tasting and with a lot of smiles! Make sure to try the Pollo al Ajillo con Espinaco, it’s heavenly! I had Yuca fries and rice with beans as sides and they were also very tasty!

Who would have thought you could find a delicious Cuban diner in the midst of Hoboken? Not me! So this is such a pleasant surprise. The food is good, and the vibe is better! I love the traditional diner vibe indoors with so many Cuban decorations! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $30–50

I came into La Isla in Hoboken to grab a simple empanada, but the experience was terrible. First off, $6 for one empanada is way overpriced, especially since I usually get it with their mojito sauce and expected better service. When I asked about the sauce, the woman behind the counter was extremely rude. She kept brushing me off while I was talking, and at one point even shushed me — completely unprofessional and out of control. Only after she realized I was upset did she suddenly try to change her attitude, but by then it was too late. I was so upset that after paying for the $6 empanada, I just walked outside and left it on the table in front of the restaurant. That’s how bad the service was — I didn’t even want to eat it. The food might be fine, but honestly it’s not worth dealing with that kind of attitude. If you want good food and respectful service, avoid this place. There are plenty of other restaurants in Hoboken that actually value their customers. Service: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10
