A solid 6.5 out of 10. Att.... A solid 6.5 out of 10. Attentive service. Coffees came out in a flash and were ok. Breakfast burrito was a 6/10. Eggs Benedict were solid though not exceptional. Atmosphere wasn't really warm though that might hVe just been the actual temperature. Hash browns were amazing though might have been of the frozen and deep fried variety a la McDonalds. Amazing place for Brekky! French toast after bacon and maple syrup, so rich, so great! In the heart of Salamanca markets, with beautiful coffee to go to it :)
"The big" is the worst breakfast I've ever had I ever had. Fried (burned) mushrooms. Fried cheap, cheap supermarket sausages that you call in Bratwurst. Fried brand bacon. Carbon black steaks. Poached eggs that only taste out of vinegar. A slice of bread. Grief And the only renovable part, a fried tomato. In addition, the coffee was terrible. This meal left such a bad taste in my mouth (from those of the parts I could eat)
Came a weekend for lunch. Coffee was good. Roast Veg Lasagne did not have a single visible frying area to see. Bread with soup was dry and not served with butter. Will not be back
Came for breakfast here, arranged a rosti with two poached eggs, and the Missus got eggs Benedict with baked beans. The Rosti was very thick and had an overwhelming dill taste ... I could try it for hours, would not recommend. One of the poached eggs was firmly cooked, the other was perfect. The baked beans tasted like flowers, which could be fine for some, but I prefer to taste like baked beans strangely enough. The coffee was also very average, maybe burned? I have to say that the staff was friendly ... but I would give this place a Miss if I were you ...
All positive reviews of this village are either friends and employees or outer suburban non-gourmets. (I'm sorry to be so brutal with the truth) Grief We only came here because we saw "Rösti" on the menu, and two of our tribe love Rostis. My instinct said no, at this place, based on the vague menu and the bistro like furniture, but sometimes you have to have others in the group a choice ... Grief There was no rustis. How do you run potatoes ??? However, a sweet potato replacement was offered, but in the words of my wise teens, "that was less a rösti and more like a lump". There was no egg with this plate, rather smoked salmon, spinach and supermarket Hollandaise. Granted, the menu does not provide a description of meals, why should we complain? But for this price we expect amazing local ingredients. This place feels like testing the public, how lightly you are, and we feel a bit stupid that you actually decide on this place, and annoy. Grief Grief Everything here was a low quality, from the plates of cheap ham to the Bacon to the fake maple syrup and even this wolloy's croissant. Grief Grief The French toast was a generous size and the only half-decent plate, and my teen had not set up the fake maple syrup, though she was a farmer's girl she did not shabble from the bacon. Grief Grief The hopeless Geny waiter would not have tried to take less (-1 point for it) and we have left our 100 dollars + breakfast half inappropriate. Grief Grief Low milky coffee, also suitable for instant coffee types. Maybe if this place halved the prices, I would be less hard. Seriously, my hazardous 90s memories of the coffee club are better than this place. 1 point for the location, but I still wished that we could give 0 points here.
