I recently visited The Taroona Lounge Bar with my family and we enjoyed a variety of delicious pizzas and pastas. The first thing that caught our attention when we entered was the stunning view of the Derwent River. The highlight of our experience was the excellent service provided by the staff, especially with accommodating our children. Overall, it was a fantastic night out! View all feedback.
What Թորգոմ Բադալյան doesn't like about Taroona Lounge Bar:
Ate here tonight based on lonely planets recommendation and was disappointed with the quality of the food. They'd to check the packet the bases came from to see if there was any nuts in the ingredients therefore I think I'm correct in my assumption that the bases weren't fresh. Much thicker base than we prefer and the base wasn't dry. The choice and salami looked and tasted cheap quality. Chips tasty. Staff very frie... View all feedback.
This is fast becoming our 'go to' when we want a reasonably priced family dinner, with reliably good food and very kid friendly. We've now been here a number of times and haven't been disappointed. Kids are really well catered for with chalk boards and colouring in. The kids menu has good options, only missing a pasta option :) The main meals are all reasonably priced and the serving sizes are all very generous. Food is always very good and I think their chips are the best in Hobart, absolutely delicious! Wood fired Pizzas are also reasonably priced with both traditional and gourmet varieties, between $17-$23, really yum! The pepperoni pizza and the pulled pork pizzas a excellent. The service is always really friendly and prompt, the setting is contemporary and has a really friendly vibe. It's licensed and has an excellent selection of wines, spirits, beers and ciders. Highly recommend this place to unwind and relax with kids without paying a small fortune for dinner.
A very friendly and attentive staff will look after you, this lounge bar has a beautiful view of the Derwent River. A great selection of entrees (small plates) to share, we had pepper squid and warmed olives, both were excellent. The pulled pork pizza was a bit disappointing as the flavour was not intense with the crust being a bit thick and doughy. There are some other fabulous choices to be made among the main meal selection which we are sure to try next time, perhaps as a lunchtime visit. The lounge has an extensive wine list, we enjoyed a bottle of the Peter Dennis Shiraz.
Fast and delicious. From the woodfired pizzas to the fish and the pasta dishes. Very friendly staff. Very relaxed atmosphere aswell. We will be back without a doubt. So do yourself a favour and ignore the bad reviews lol

Dropped by after trip to the Huon. Views were fantastic and the service and food were excellent. Great spot to laze away an evening or spend some time over lunch with a view.
