The restaurant offers a stunning view of the canal, making it a truly beautiful spot. There are numerous nostalgic elements throughout the lookout. Additionally, there are several outdoor seating areas available for enjoying the view, especially when the lookout is busy. View all feedback.
Good the trip up. we hiked one of the trails, the first part is steeper than the second part. the lookout is spectacular and the story in the signal station is interesting. also a caffe and toilets at the top makes a nice trip.
Just wow! Greats views and super friendly service. Loved the coffee and had Carrot cake baked fresh from the chef, topped with fresh berries and cream. Presentation will blow your mind! A great place to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon, especially if Mt Wellington is cloudy in, Mt Nelson has the next best views.
Easy drive from central Hobart to get here, maybe 15mins with traffic. The station itself is a really lovely building and was open for us to have a look inside. Some excellent interpretation that explain the history of signals and their importance in Tasmania. Gardens could be better maintained and would enhance the experience. It's worth walking down to the lookout, which gives you a nice view over the Tasman bridge. The views were fantastic, the cafe was open and busy however we didn't go in.
Lovely views of Hobart, well worth the short scenic drive. Little Cafe up there also.
A lovely cosy place, with fantastic views on a clear day. The food is great whether you decide to have a feast or afternoon tea and a cheese platter and the service is excellent. The staff are particularly welcoming of and charming towards children. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
