It is unpretentious, and when you step into the glassed veranda, it feels like you stepped into the living room of your aunt with plants on the window sill. The restaurant has a large menu, and it is obviously geared to the entire family. They offer the usual German specialities( schnitzel etc.), and the food is well prepared. This is not gourmet cooking, but rather the usual German cuisine. Regional specialties are also available. In April and May there is asparagus on the menu. Service is pleasant, food arrives within a reasonable time, and prices are very reasonable. Helpings are ample. A nice place to fuel up, if you are in the vicinity. We were on a road trip, and it was a surprising find.

Das Esse... read more Es wird hier ein sehr preiswerter täglich wechselnder Mittagstisch angeboten. Ca. 6,50 € für Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat, wer kann da schon meckern. Das Essen ist von guter Qualität. Ich finde, dass schon der frisch gemachte Salat einen Besuch Wert ist. Auch wird man hier sehr freundlich bedient und hat keinen Streß bei durchgehender warmer Küche. Gleich nebenan ist das Hagebaucenter. Es ist mit Sicherheit kein Fehler zwischen einer Überlegung hier ein gut bürgerliches Essen einzunehmen. Man wird es nicht bereuen. Ich würde sogar so weit gehen zu sagen, dass sich ein Zwischenstop-Abfahrt Bad Soden-Salmünster-auf der A 66 Richtung Frankfurt oder Fulda durchaus lohnt. Eher als an so mancher Raststätte an Hessens Autobahnen.

This is not a gourmet cuisine, but the usual German cuisine. Regional specialities are also available. In April and May there are asparagus on the menu. Service is pleasant, food comes within a reasonable time, and prices are very reasonable. Help is plentiful. A beautiful place to recharge if you are nearby. We were on a trip, and it was a surprising find.
