A very friendly pub with a great Landlady. Beer was kept well and the food, homemade and delicious. I had a steak and ale pie which contain a great portion of good tasting beef. View all feedback.

We made a reservation through OpenTable and received confirmation, but when we arrived, we were informed that they weren't serving food. We left feeling disappointed and had to quickly find something in the freezer to eat. Luckily, I had some leftover turkey curry from Christmas, which was delicious but a bit spicy for my taste! Fantastic eating. beautiful country pub with friendly staff.
Had the Sunday roast gammon which was very good but the mixed vegetables tasted frozen and I like fresh veg. Service was very good.
Lovely place to go for lunch on a Sunday. Fairly quiet and we weren't too sure all the veg were fresh (perhaps some frozen? the menu states red cabbage but we had none of that) but if so, these things happen and items run out sometimes. We had a very pleasant Sunday lunch outing.
Excellent value, delicious food, and friendly service. I would definitely return!
