Today we had a delicious Sunday roast at the motte and bailey. at the arrival we were made to feel welcome and were sitting in a beautiful opposite of the pub next to the fire. the brat was all cooked home with a large part of cauliflower cheese served on the side and included in the price. the rioja was also great! thanks for a beautiful experience. Oh dear...you know when your instincts say Turn around and walk out . This seemingly popular local pub was run by teenagers on the day who don 't appear to have tbasic knowledge on how a restaurant should be run. It took several minutes before we were acknowledge or even noticed as customers, 4 of us standing obediently in front of two bar staff focusing on a till issue. This is a truly welcoming pub! The charming girl with red hair at the bar was so friendly and kind to all the patrons. The roast was fantastic! It's vital to support wonderful pubs like this one. I highly recommend it. We were passing through and this was the best pub we came across. Thank you!

Very disappointing experience. The pastry in the pie was undercooked, and the burger was overcooked. I won't be returning.
Lovely village pub spoilt by some pond life sitting at the bar whose only known word of the English Language began with the letter F.
Ran our of prosecco! I've never heard of pub running out of anything before.... a good night out despite this.
