Mann muss rese... read more Über Jahre hinweg sind wir immer wieder mal in Schönenbach wandern und dann auch Käsespätzle essen. Zuvorkommend, freundlich und schnell bedient. Mann muss reserviert haben. Die Portionen sind groß und köstlich. Dort gibt es jetzt auch Zimmer. Wir haben uns eines angesehen, alles Vollholz und sehr schön. Man kann dort zur Ruhe kommen. Alles in allem kann man nur empfehlen...!!!

In Schönenbach angekommen, parkt man au... read more Schon die Anfahrt nach Schönenbach ist sehr romantisch. Man fährt auf einer schmalen Straße durch ein märchenhaftes Tal. In Schönenbach angekommen, parkt man auf einem großen Parkplatz vor dem Ort und muss den Rest des Weges zum Gasthaus (ca. 300 Meter) zu Fuß zurücklegen. Gehbehinderte dürfen mit dem Auto vor das Gasthaus gefahren werden. Das Ambiente des Lokals sehr, sehr schön. Viel Holz, sehr gemütliche Gaststuben, alles sehr stimmig. Essen: Die Suppen waren sehr gut, die berühmten Käsknöpfle ausgezeichnet, die Salate sehr gut. Der Sauvignon Blanc auch sehr gut und das Bier frisch gezapft und von perfekter Temperatur. Für das Dessert war leider kein Platz mehr im Magen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nach dem Essen kann man dann noch einen netten Spaziergang rund um das Vorsäß Schönenbach machen und im Käseladen die feine Spätzlemischung aber auch andere Bregenzerwälder Kässpezialitäten kaufen. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Ausflug mit kulinarischen Höhepunkten. Wir waren ganz gewiß nicht das letzte Mal im Jagdgasthaus Egender.

Da wäre einmal die wunderschöne r... read more Ich weiss gar nicht, wie ich mein ausschliesslich positives Feedback für dieses wunderbare Hotel und Restaurant beginnen soll. Da wäre einmal die wunderschöne ruhige Lage auf einem grossen grünen Plateau, eingebettet in die herrliche Bergwelt. Dazu kommen die liebevoll von Grund auf renovierten, ganz in duftendem Holz gehaltenen Zimmer mit restaurierten Möbeln und modernen, grossen Nasszellen. Abgerundet wird das Ganze mit sehr freundlichem Personal, exzellenter persönlicher Bedienung – sowohl im Hotel wie auch im Restaurant – und extrem leckerem Essen, inkl. tollem Frühstückbuffett. Wer Stille ohne WLAN und Handyempfang. - aber mit viel Stil - geniessen will: der Jagdgasthof Egender ist „the place to be“.

This typical Austrian restaurant is really an experience to do. its located in the middle of nowhere to get there from Bezau where we were staying it takes 30 m... read more This typical Austrian restaurant is really an experience to do. its located in the middle of nowhere to get there from Bezau where we were staying it takes 30 minutes of curves in the middle of forest, river,green. at one point to reach the destination, you have to live the car in a small car park and go to the restaurant walking..and you walk between caws with bells round the neck and you walk for 5 minutes and you just listen the bells...its incredible. food incredible. we eat a plate with cheese and onion..delicious..obviously all local. kids were too happy!!

This is your perfect destination if you 're searching a nice possibility for having a day trip. you can easily reach it by car to the parking place 10 minutes f... read more This is your perfect destination if you 're searching a nice possibility for having a day trip. you can easily reach it by car to the parking place 10 minutes far from the restaurant OR with your mountain bike after a beautiful ride from Bizau to Schönebach OR by walk after 90 minutes from Sibratsgfäll. you will find always a warm welcome the whole year and especially in summer time you can relax by sitting in the nature and looking around the beautiful mountain panorama. The specialty are the hand made cheese dumplings and I recommend to taste the amazing Riebl-Knödel with berry sauce and vanilla ice cream as a dessert. If you ever sear a destination in the nature, it 's one of the best solutions.

The waitress came very prompt and was very frie... read more After we went for a 4 hour hike around Schönbach we decided to stop at Egender Jagd Gasthaus for a little snack. The waitress came very prompt and was very friendly . The drinks were served really quickly and the food followed shortly after. We decided on the bregenzer cheese knoepfle. Woow what a treat we really enjoyed our meal. We can only recommend the place .

The worst part of this experience was... read more We visited recently for lunch, having been here many times before to eat. This time a waitress called Ramona 'served ' us. The worst part of this experience was that she obviously decided the moment she set eyes on us that she didnt want us in the restaurant and did not want to serve us. She didnt say one word to us throughout the entire service, refused to bring tapwater for us to drink, huffed and walked off shaking her head. Never asked once if our food was good, never asked if we needed anything else, never asked if we would like anything else to drink. By this point we were well aware that her treatment of us was not only purposely but also discriminatory, as she served the tables around us very attentively and politely but completely ignored us. It destroyed our experience and my partner called later to inform the manager. We still haven 't had an apology from the waitress or the manager. We were treated like dirt and we will never be returning with our guests from home.
