Athen Restaurant - Hirschaid

This place is next door to the FrankenLagune, so you can have a swim or sauna to help work up a good appetite. It can be busy here but they will find you a table and I ate here many times. I always like lamb at a Greek restaurant and even if you don't like beef liver..........you should try it once at a place like Athen, tastes great, easy to get a small portion with a platter of other meats.

They serve a combination of Greek and Italian food at this restaurant. It's the second time I have eaten here. The first time I had Greek and it was a bit different from the Greek food I get back home. No pita bread for example. But it was good. To ight I had a pizza and it was more than enough for me. It was good but not the best I have ever had.Would I eat here again? Yes

I love this place! Waiters are always friendly, food always great, prices reasonable. I enjoy their rotating daily specials, lightly battered and fried shrimp and calamari. The grill plate is very good. No joke, they have the best pizza at this Greek restaurant! It is the best we have had in the Bamberg area. Pizza is made in a wood fire stone oven. We are regulars at Athen and highly recommend it!
