Konoha - Hiroshima

We went to this place after a previous review. The request is really amazing, all stated recommendations were incredibly good. Further, the owner spoke English so that a better experience during the order. Here you will experience Japanese cuisine and hospitality, I recommend this place to anyone who comes across it.

Food : This is yakitori restaurant, my favorites are Tsukune, Heart and Gizzard. The rest of the menu also meet standard of good yakitori store Service : The owner Sugi gave us warmth welcome, guidance and friendly service. He also complimented us with free sochu, juices and small Manekineko.

The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming to us even though we can't speak much Japanese. He made some very good recommendations such as his minced chicken (yakitori) stick and chicken skin. The minced chicken stick is not the usual tsukune you find in other izakayas. It is very fluffy, succulent and packed with flavours. Goes well with beer and sake, of course. This izakaya is still relatively hidden from tourists (located on second floor) and in very close proximity to Hiroshima station. Definitely recommend people to drop by for great late-night experience.

串からつけ麺まで最高でした！ありがとうございました。Was terrified to enter as a solo female traveller but had no need to worry. Loved the liver in the beginning of the A course, as well as the tsukune and the neck meat ? , and the noodles were better than I could have imagined. Thank you for a great time!

Highly recommended for any foreigners staying in the area. Sugi, the owner truly enjoys welcoming foreign guests to his small restaurant. it may look a little sketchy at first, but go ahead and venture up the stairs and head on in. you wont regret it. The food is good and the people are the best. He'll give you his recommendations and he may give you some sake on the house.
