The separate vegetarian/vegan menu is no longer available at this restaurant. While there are a few vegetarian options as starters, there are no vegetarian main dishes on the new menu. You may be able to request something off the old menu. The set meal for 2000JPY, which includes a drink, soup, and your choice of spring rolls or a tofu hamburger, may not be worth it as the soup alone costs 1000JPY (though it may be good, I can't say for sure). Each person should order a drink that costs at least 600JPY. While there is complimentary water available, you are required to order a drink per person. Our meal, which included steamed veggies, spring rolls, mushroom salad, apple juice, and apple sangria, came to a total of 2940JPY. The Umami flavors were delicious with the dips, but keep in mind that you may need to order rice (350JPY) if you want to feel full. We found that Fukutara, located a 5-minute walk away, was more satisfying, flavorful, and affordable. I recommend trying both restaurants if you are staying in the area for two nights. Chamise is another great option for French toast, especially for vegetarians, and is conveniently located next to this place.
