The Landing Waterfront Bistro & Bar

While the decor is a little dated, the atmosphere is still very pleasant (inside and out) with marina and river views, and the staff personable and welcoming. The menu covers several tastes - meats, fowl, fish and something for 'vegetablers'.We were tempted by the juicy looking burgers heading for another table and the battered fish heading to another. However, nice thick eye fillet steaks won out with a selection of dressings. We all agreed they were the best steaks we'd had in a very long time. The 'in-house' mushroom sauce was particularly tasty.Many local wines are on offer as well a selection of beers.The Landing is now on our Goolwa 'places-we-must-visit-again' list for another great steak ... or maybe that juicy looking burger...?

It has been a long time between visits to The Landing but have been twice in the past few weeks. Setting is tranquil on the water and the menu is varied and a delight. On a Thursday night we had a seafood special with entree included - it was the best - so tasty and those that did not indulge in the seafood found the menu varied and hard to make the right selection. Our next visit was on a Wednesday night - they had different specials but this time we all selected from the menu and all had a great meal. the salads and sides are made to perfectionand complimenting the meal. Wine selections were appealing and varied and pricing within budget. Worth a visit firslt for the setting and then to endulge in the great food

It's my fourth time coming here, another great dining experience! I got pork ribs with bok choy, such an unexpected big and yum course. Ribs are well seasoned and cooked with crispy surface and textured meat. Affogato is also a must try~

Although the decor may be a bit worn, it is easily overlooked. The server welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm and provided excellent service. We had a lovely view of the marina and river while dining inside on a winter day. The food was served promptly and was both delicious and reasonably priced.

Easily accommodates couples and family groups. Cheerful efficient helpful service. The food is well presented and just wonderful to eat. If you want dessert then make sure you are not in a hurry. It is worth waiting for.
