Sweet Treats - Hinckley and Bosworth

I don 't like giving poor reviews but the business needs to know and address it when something is wrong. We ordered a couple of desserts through Just Eat around 8:00pm with a guide time for delivery of 9:20pm which was just about acceptable. We received notification from the app that there would be a delay of 10 mins. At 9:55 we received notification that the shop was closing at 10:00pm so we telephoned to be told it was 5 mins away with an apology for the late delivery it arrived at 10:15pm. On the plus side, the food was very nice and well packaged to keep it cold but at 10:15, we were somewhat beyond the point of the evening when a dessert was attractive. If they can do something about the service they should crush it, but I 'm afraid at 16 quid for two desserts I do expect better delivery times.

Been here several times and always enjoyed it. Yes sometimes service is slow but this is the only place guaranteed great gelato, not cheap no flavour ice cream. My husband is italian so we know the difference. Came the night before lockdown and place was busy due to buy one get one free offer. Overheard the staff saying a customer had changed their order and even though the order had already been made behind the counter, they held it back and remade it as requested. Love the monster milkshakes, unfortunately they had an issue with the blender so had a peanut butter cup which was amazing instead. Waited 2 hours for 2 drinks to be delivered, called up after waiting 1 hour 40 mins to be told it’ll be another 10 mins then called after waiting 2 hours to be told it will be another 10 15 mins. After speaking to a rude girl who hardly knew anything I then requested to speak to the manager Nicole who said a refund as requested will be processed in 2-5 days, which I hope is processed as I do not trust the service at all. To blame your lost driver or whatever the lousy excuse was is not adequate at all. I will absolutely not be recommending this service to anyone I know. In fact your reputation proceeds you, an absolutely terrible one at that.

What a shame to write a negative review. Have been before and it’s been ok. But this time I ordered a cone for my 2 year old son and a coffee. Waited 10 mins for the cone the place was all but empty and was told by the girl who served me that she ‘ did have other things to do first.’ Luckily someone else who has better customer service brought it over. Funnily enough it’s a 1 minute task. The coffee I ordered never turned up so I asked for a refund. She clearly was too busy. Doing what, I’m not sure. I’ve seen busier summer loungers. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Won’t be wasting my time there again.

I ordered at 20:00, order said it would be with me at 21:30. Rang at 22:00 pm due to still no food and was told it would be leaving the shop in 15 minutes as they were busy. Got to 11pm and they decided to ring and tell me that they had run out of what we wanted. Would not order from here if they paid me.
