We stopped by for breakfast while our boat was docked nearby on the canal. The restaurant was not too crowded when we arrived, and our order was taken promptly. However, it quickly became busy as it is clearly a popular spot. There was a slight wait for our food (three full English breakfasts), but when it arrived, it was excellent. The portions were very generous and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sutton Wharf Cafebar:
Area is nice to walk around and seating area around the coffee shop was ok with a number of tables. However as for value for money poor for a coffee stop mid morning. We had two (small) coffees along with a slice of cake each Very expensive just over for a small coffee cup and thin slice of cake with the addition of having to pay to park the car for an hour as this is all you can pay as the charge is a one payment pay... Half term for leicestershire, so the cafe was busy, but after our walk along the canal we headed to the cafe and were met with very friendy staff, offers to sit inside or outside. We sat outside as we had our puppy with us, but when it started raining they very happily accomodated us inside. We had a lovely lunch of soup, kids meals and cod goujon roll. Nice hot drinks, which they were happy to make to our taste and even a bowl of water and a biscuit for our dog. It was a lovely end to our walk and will definitely be back. Really not sure why people are leaving bad reviews. Small businesses have had to make big changes to acommodate the new covid rules and keep customers and staff safe. I think the cafe have done a wonderful job and so am giving a well deserved stars. We can't wait to visit again.

My first time at this charming restaurant. The food at the café is fantastic. Unfortunately, there are no vegan options available, so we opted for the delicious triple cooked chips, a salad each, and sliced gluten-free bread for chip butties. It was all very tasty and the apple juice was the best, not too sweet. The restaurant was temporarily closed for half an hour due to being overwhelmed with orders, but it was well worth the visit. Despite being very popular, the food and atmosphere are top-notch.
I really like the place but the pricing is too high. I enjoyed my burger but had to pay nearly £4 extra for chips when the burger was already around £14….. that’s just excessive. Please provide chips with the burgers and we will be back.
