So many pluses for Parklands : a lovely setting, perfect ambiance, attentive staff, lashings of fresh vegetables, one or two good puddings, quickly cleared tables....but why did the fish stay in the Ocean? I've never asked for a Seafood Mixed Grill before so I built myself up for 7 or 8 different fishes, attractively set out : the equivalent of a Meaty Mixed Grill. Wanted to spend some time with Mum so booked afternoon tea here. What a disappointment! The sandwiches were very dry, I would even say stale. The cakes were not very appetising either. We mentioned it to the waitress who apologised and said they were freshly made that morning, our tea was at 14.30. There was no offer of replacement. We were very disappointed for £11.50 each. Visited the restaurant today with friends for Sunday lunch. Everything was spot on. Reasonable prices, generous portions carvery mear and veg were great nothing soggy and a great view down to the 18th green.
We had our wedding reception at Hinckley Golf Club in December 2023, which included a wedding breakfast and evening buffet. We also had a number of meetings prior to the day, and were really pleased with the whole process of planning the event. It was also really helpful to be able to visit the day before to put out some decorations, and the day after to take them away again. The team were also able to accommodate our evening jazz band and Photo Booth, which seemed to all run very smoothly. For the food, there was a good choice on the menu and we were able to have a taster beforehand. The wedding breakfast was delicious and the team did a great job of catering for allergies and dietary requirements. There was also a good choice of food for the evening buffet and such generous portions too. The staff had all worked incredibly hard and it was a wonderful day which we will always remember. Thank you to all the team!
We, as a local business, celebrated our 20th Anniversary Ball at Hinckley Golf Club in June with 150 clients/guests. From the first contact, everything went smoothly. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, the food was excellent, and they went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend Hinckley Golf Club as a venue for any special occasion.
My family and I held a charity casino night at the Golf Club in memory of my brother. It was a wonderful event that everyone enjoyed. Michelle and Sharon did an amazing job organizing and supporting me throughout the process. They understood the emotional significance of the event and made it truly special by taking the pressure off me. I can't thank them enough for everything they did. It was a meaningful night honoring my brother and raising money for charities. Thank you so much, ladies.
We recently had our Wedding Reception at this venue and it was absolutely amazing! The room looked stunning and the surroundings were breathtaking. Our photographer captured beautiful photos of our wedding party overlooking the Golf Putting greens and of us on the pathway alongside the greens. I highly recommend taking wedding photos here with the incredible views as your backdrop. For our wedding supper, we chose the Hog Roast which was delicious and plentiful. The service from all the staff, from the first venue viewing to our wedding day, was fantastic and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Special thanks to Helen, Michelle, and Sharon for making the planning process stress-free.
