Excellent, hearty, healthy meals. The Jammin Salmon was one of the best meals I had in Hawaii. It was so good that we drove from Kona to eat here again. Aunt Tina was also great with our order! View all feedback.
What Ege Demirel doesn't like about Tina's Garden Gourmet Cafe:
Famous Thai pizza is a quesadilla stuffed with pumpkin (including big seeds). Two portions of pizza split across 2 boxes had 6 pieces of shrimp total. Unable to finish due to disgustingness. View all feedback.
We have the green Papaya salad and two of the curries and enjoyed every spicy bite. so much that we held the left sauces to integrate into other meal times. everything tasted so fresh!
This is the best Thai-food we had in Big island. We ordered the Thai spicy garden curry at the first time and it was amazing. We came back again the next day and highly recommended.
Excellent, hearty, healthy meals. The Jammin Salmon was one of the best meals I?ve had in Hawaii. It was so good we drove from Kona just to eat here again. Aunty Tina was super accommodating with our order too!
Favorite Thai food on island (actually favorite Thai food ever, period). Best papaya salad I've ever had, garden curry and Thai spaghetti are a couple of my favorites. Tina is a hard-working angel! Mango sticky rice and Thai ice tea never fail to satisfy a sweet tooth ? also, my man and I are vegan and we have tons of options here, all made with super fresh local ingredients, and love ?
The Tina's Garden Café is a small restaurant in the heart of downtown Hilo. The restaurant serves a curry that contains a whole avocado the size of a bomb, as well as other locally produced ingredients. These ingredients can cut the heart of the palms like wrinkles, kabocha, and fresh coconuts shot in a bright and herbal green curry with turmeric, ginger and lemongrass. The curry is more like a broth than a thick coconut milk engraving. Tina's restaurant always serves very generous portions. I started Thai pizza and then moved to Papaya salad. Although Thai pizza is enormous, I did not find it had enough taste. On the other hand, the Papaya salad is incredibly delicious. I scanned both foods with a low and a medium degree of heat. My personal preference is for a medium heat, but either is an excellent choice if you are looking for something less fiery.
