Restaurant Miwa - Hilo

Finally to the restaurant Miwa! My partner won a gift certificate for $50 from my Federal Credit Union, and we had a wonderful time. From July '22 masks must enter. We had no reservations, so we got the table through the toilets and kitchen. The service is laborious, not rushed or especially fast, but this makes a nice pace for the experience. This is a family business, local, with family photos on the walls. We only decided to start water, shared a Calamari, and had three excellent roles. Simple presentation, fresh ingredients. Unlimited cake of hot green tea is served on the house with your meal. Yum. The most creative and tasty role we tried was Teriyaki beef with asparagus! P.S. cost $50

Beautiful that we did not hear the negative reviews. excellent eating and service! standard roll were good for starters. combo meal with sashimi, tempoura and chicken catsu were all great. others had the rindertofu and hot pots? both were happy.

Excellent Japanese food. lunch special for $17.95 (februar, 2022) includes the choice of 2 proteins, rice, miso suppe, green tea, salat, seatang and cauliflower. most in a Bento box. friendly service. could be difficult to find, but it's worth it.

Google shows a wrong address. Please correct it. Friendly staff. Clam soup was a little bland. Ox tail soup had a lot veggies in it, pretty nice! Nigiri sushi was super expensive, like $25/2 pieces. I wouldn?t recommend ordering nigiri sushi just bc it was too pricy.

Delightful food, simple sushi rolls, (no fancy house rolls if you are into that sort of thing), seriously some of the best service I?ve ever had, and the yellowtail collar was out of this world. They even brought a special fork and spoon for our baby.
