We ordered a chantilly birthday cake for my aunties 80th birthday and it was DIVINE!!!the cake was the perfect consistency, and the chantilly was the perfect balance of sweetness for the chocolate cake. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Amazing service, kind, and accommodating. Mahalo!

Excellent German Chocolate Cake also they were able to get this custom cake for me with only a little over a day's notice. Major props.

An interesting detail was that the bakery is currently transitioning locations and doesn’t have permits for customers to enter their new spot yet. So, I arranged to meet Amy at a designated time and location for the cake handoff, which went smoothly. I couldn’t have been more pleased and wholeheartedly recommend 808 Sweet Shack to anyone in search of sweet treats in the Hilo area.

I’m so happy I discovered this hidden gem! The cookies we tried were absolutely delicious. One of my sons ordered the Ube cookie, the other chose the lava cake, and I went for the cowboy cookie. There’s an interesting story behind the cowboy cookie, and the owner, Amy, will gladly share it if you ask her. She’s incredibly nice and sweet! I can’t wait to see what she creates once she has all her baking equipment. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place!
