Yaya's Place Mexican - Hillsboro

I ordered the brisket dinner and it was a generous portion. A near by restaurant was closed so YAYA's was packed. It was my first time to eat there and I was not disappointed. Food was a little slow but the employees were fast and courteous. It was my first time but I am certain it won't be my last.

The service is not very good at all. Its a shame because the food is good, Owner needs to know service and friendliness is very important. every time we go we only see young kids running the restaurant even the Cooks are very young, no adult supervision. The young girl at register saw not very nice. Took 25 minutes just to get a bowl of menudo and 2 tacos.

Easter Sunday morning in a grateful mood, we ordered$87 tip of pickup order breakfast tacos, menudo and huevos rancheros. So sadly disappointed. Menudo was brown! ? With hardly any flavor, almost diluted Added our Own Knorr for flavor Tacos were corn tortilla size ordered bacon egg, couldn 't find bacon. Potato egg, scrambled egg with potato chunks thrown on top got a french fry in one? . Huevos rancheros? Specifically says over easy on menu, ASKED for over easy . Received hard boiled yolk. ???????????? Hopefully what this restaurant serves dine in clientele is better than their takeout ???? Word to the wise, if you order pick up, check it in their presence before you leave with your food so you 're not disappointed at home.

Breakfast was average at best. Wife had caldo de res and it was very fatty, very lil meat. Only two servers, service was slow, severely understaffed. Not impressed and do not plan on coming back.

Great food, good service and nice small town vibe. Will be back!
