Contribute FeedbackAmelia's has had its fair share of ups and downs, with some diners facing reservation issues and inconsistent service at times. Despite this, recent visits near Jones Farm have shown an improvement, with delicious vegan options like enchiladas and burritos being a refreshing change. The authentic Mexican flavors have been a hit, with standouts like Enchiladas Verdes and Fish Tacos impressing diners with their taste. While prices may be a tad high for some, the overall experience is enjoyable, making it a great spot for breakfast or lunch. With warm, handmade tortillas and friendly staff, Amelia's offers a delightful Mexican dining experience worth revisiting.
The restaurant has recently introduced a "vegan" option to their menu, but it is essentially just the regular menu items without cheese, meat, or sour cream. Unfortunately, they charge extra for these modifications, even though you can get a larger non-vegan dish for a lower price. The vegan rice offered is plain white rice. I would only suggest this restaurant as a last resort, and be prepared to bring extra cash.
Today we dined at a restaurant near Intel Jones Farm on Griffin Oaks that we hadn't visited since 2019. The menu clearly labeled three items as vegan, with vegetarian options also available. Despite the slow service, likely due to the holiday weekend and short staffing, we enjoyed our meals. I ordered the enchiladas, which were filled with potato and mushrooms, topped with black beans, chilies, fried tortilla strips, and grilled onions. The dish was a refreshing change from typical Americanized enchiladas, as it contained no cheese. My husband had the vegan burrito, which was generously sized and smothered in a red sauce. Despite the lack of cheese or mock meats, both dishes were flavorful and satisfying, making them healthier choices compared to traditional options.
They added the word vegan in the menu, and offer only products they already have, but leave them the cheese, meat, and acid cream. They also calculate extra for how they can get a huge non vegan disher for less money. the vegan rice is only white. would only recommend in one prise and bring a lot of money. updated by previous review on 2022-01-10
There are 3 menu items clearly labeled vegan (and also vegetarian elements.) we have not been there since 2019, but are today (not at this place, but at the one of intel jones farm on griffin oaks.) I had the enchiladas and my man had the burrito. the service was very slow today, but it is a holiday-speaking and maybe they were short workers. we were not in a hurry, only starving. they are not like typical American enchiladas. there is no cheese inside or outside. the filling was kartoffel and mushrooms. the soße was a mixture of black bran and chilies. with fried tortilla strips and grilled tweepers. not excessively heavy or greasy without the fried bits, I think it would be a fairly healthy option. husband loves the vegan burrito . it is big and shattered in a red sauce. again no cheese or mock meat, but still a tasteful healthier option.
Service was good. Food was good. Noise was a little high
