Submarine House - Hilliard

I've been eating at Gary's first submarine house for 40 years at 48/Main St. in Dayton, OH. When I moved to Columbus, I've been trying for years to find something like her cheese steaks and nothing came near. I'd just drive from Columbus to Dayton to get it. For me it is the bread and of course pepper relish and an entire sandwich is 16 inches of heaven. Hands down, on a big edge, the best cheese steak ever in my book. If I eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be a whole cheese steak with the works (minus tomatoes, I despise tomatoes) from the submarine house.

Ran in to Submarine House for a couple of subs during our trip to Columbus. Ordered to go with the bar tender. He was very helpful with what had changed on the cheese steaks on the menu since I hadn't been in these stores in some time. The super cheese steak is now the regular and they have a new super duper cheese which is bigger. I ordered two supers. They came out quick with everything just like I wanted. I got an 8 inch and was a pretty big sandwich. I got the lettuce and tomato and everything was fresh tasting. The bun was crunchy on the outside. Everything was great with good flavor. I need to come back more often.
