Lovely restaurant in the Novotel Tainui Hotel. Fabulous Eye Fillet Steak which you cut with a butter knifes. And the meat in the Venison Pie, melted in your mouth. As for the Chocolate Pannacotta, yum. Thanks to Mereana and Myana for looking after us on the night.

The rolls while full of flavour were disappointing as they were not warm. Mains were stunning, steak was rare and well rested not cold in the middle. And the pork belly was tender and sweet both a delicious choice. The desert came on a plate with happy birthday written on it, put a smile on my face. The ginger flavour was strong and the ice cream side was well frozen and didn't melt quickly. Service was fast and the staff very friendly. Will go again.
Nice place to have a relaxing atmosphere. It’s cosy with attentive staff. The location is convenient as there are plenty parking available on site. The food is nice but there is some room to improve.
Friendly, attentive wait staff with food served in a timely manner. Very well thought out dishes that were bursting with flavour. Great dining atmosphere with views of the Waikato river.
Food was great, service was friendly, and the ambience had an air of sophistication. The meal was a bit pricey $127 for two mains, glass of pinot, side veges, and a dessert). The staff knew the specials and were easygoing yet professional.
