Authentic Japanese fast dishes perfect for a lunch break. Price performance is absolutely correct. Often friendly (but not always), but a tip and still very tasty. Please call and order by phone to shorten the waiting times. View all feedback.
What Rupert Ullrich doesn't like about Bistro KOMBU:
Okay, you're in düsseldorf, looking for Japanese food that everyone speaks, but the waiting queues at the evermannstraße are simply endless and you get frustrated. forget little tokyo and go to düsseldorf benrath, where they find kombu these youngs kill it only with their eating, daily changing small menu with fresh ingredients and whatever they order, they will not be disappointed. 6 of 5 stars! So good, so fresh, I am a regular customer. Really happy to have such a brilliant Japanese Restaurant close by where I live. Since Corona only take away. When you visit the Benrather Schloss, make sure you visit this little Restaurant (only minutes walking...distance from there) and take some food home with you. Highly recommended!
We were close and noticed this little place while we were looking for something to dinner. we enjoyed it so much that we have eaten there for the days we were in the opposite. first it does not exactly describe it, there are a few stools. next to the wall inside and on good days a few tables and stools are brought out. service is friendly, fast and efficient. the menu is a mix of sushi, Japanese cooks and German foods, all prepared before them. everything we ate was delicious and excellent. according to the number of people who have entered to collect phone calls while we were picked on our hockey core, kombu is very popular with locals. I recommend this place in the highest measure.
Kombu is by far the most welcoming bistro in benrath, if not even dsseldorf. the owner-guided hotel (not a restaurant, as there are only high-seats against the wall) serves delicious Japanese cuisine as well as a small selection of local highlights such as currywurst. and fries. we enjoyed all sushi variations and most daily changing other Japanese meals. they were very good and to the point. bento box or sushi factory have no chance. we'll come back when we'll be in the opposite!
The place looks more like a taco stand than a bistro. but eating is very well prepared. oddly they have a combination of street food (i.e. curry sausage) with very beautiful Japanese dresses (sashimi, sushi, udon, benton box.) the only inconvenience is that they do not have tables, there is only a long bar on the wall and chairs. So if they don't mind the seating of the place is great. actually the only Japanese restaurant in this part of düsseldorf (that is benrath.) the place tends to be at midday in weekdays.
